Transform your heat pump into a climate control system. The Thermia Cooling Module Passive/Active enables your heat pump to produce cool air for your home in an energy and costefficient manner. This gives you a complete climate control system that ensures a pleasant indoor climate all year round - warmth in the winter, coolness in the summer and hot water every day of the year.
The cool air is produced in two steps. The first is called passive cooling and is adequate for occasional cooling requirements. By circulating the cool liquid in the collector loop (in the drill hole, ground or lake), cool air is created at a cost equivalent to the energy consumption of a couple of light bulbs. When passive cooling is not enough to keep the temperature down, step two, or active cooling, is activated. In step two, the heat pump compressor is used to produce cool air and this lowers the temperature in the house's cooling/heating loop even more.
The Cooling Module Passive/Active is compatible with all heat pumps, except for pumps in the Atria and Comfort series.
